Job Description:

An established consultancy in Manchester is seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver high-profile government, bluelight, and defence sector projects. This role involves managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects, building strong client relationships, and mentoring junior colleagues while offering career development opportunities and attractive benefits.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee the day-to-day delivery of projects
develop project strategies
manage risk and change processes
attend and chair meetings
liaise closely with clients, contractors, and consultants
produce cost plans
lead procurement efforts
ensure seamless coordination between internal teams and the wider supply chain

Requirements:

5 years’ experience in a project management role
strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
expertise across the full project lifecycle
relevant qualifications: BSc/MSc in Project Management, Construction Management, or similar
chartered or working towards chartership (MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB)
excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities
comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Nice to have:

experience in pre- and post-contract delivery
working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
familiarity with local authorities, healthcare Trusts, and large-scale public projects
