We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to immediately join our team. The successful candidate will be required to work with project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and seamlessly.

Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for project delivery from start to finish with minimal assistance from Senior Management team
  • Review and analyse technical drawings, scopes and specifications for projects with the estimating department
  • Review BOQ take offs and project cost spreadsheet to ensure all scope is captured by the estimators
  • To be rigorously negotiate with clients to secure a pipeline of work
  • Very strong supplier management and coordination for competitive pricing
  • Review of tender submissions, and programming works for clients
  • Undertaking tender reviews with Senior Management
  • Coordinate scope of works and budgets with site staff
  • Manage project programme and site staff to ensure project milestones are met
  • Oversee and liaise with Contract Administrator to ensure clear communication between site and office staff “be the link”
  • Manage site staff and day to day activities onsite
  • Manage delivery risk and compliance
  • Prepare and manage project budget
  • Review payment claims and variations in accordance with contractual obligations
  • Review and take note of all project documentation including legal documentation such as contracts (AS4000, AS4906 etc…)
  • Continually monitor performance of the department and implement appropriate strategies for improvement
  • Work closely with estimating and delivery division
  • Development/Management of business estimating templates and databases
  • Be the authoritative contact for all matters relating to the Department
  • Communicate with Senior Leadership team openly and as soon as any issues are identified
  • Reporting to the General Manager

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications preferred
  • Over 5 years’ experience in a similar role is essential (Construction, Civil and Landscaping experience)
  • Proven ability to manage contracts, budgets and programmes
  • Advanced technical knowledge of landscape and/or civil construction methodology, materials etc.
  • Competent and confident to use Microsoft suite of products including Word, Excel, PDF, Project etc.
  • Reliable transportation and NSW Drivers License
  • Workcover White Card
  • Fluent written and verbal English ability
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
