As a Project Manager at SNC MS UK, you will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary projects from initiation through to delivery, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, effectively, on time, and within budget. Working closely with engineering teams, customers, suppliers, and senior stakeholders, you will manage project planning, governance, commercial oversight, risk management, and delivery activities across a range of mission-critical programmes. Job Responsibility:
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects across the full project lifecycle
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource forecasts
Manage project governance activities, ensuring effective control of scope, risks, issues, actions, dependencies, and change
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Lead multidisciplinary project teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance
Monitor project performance against agreed milestones, deliverables, financial targets, and contractual requirements
Identify and manage project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
Ensure projects comply with applicable regulatory, security, quality, and customer requirements
Support commercial and financial management activities, including forecasting, reporting, and cost control
Provide clear and accurate project reporting to senior leadership and key stakeholders
Support bid, proposal, and business development activities where required
Contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery processes, governance, and best practice
Requirements:
Proven experience in a Project Manager role within defence, aerospace, engineering, technology, or other highly regulated environments
Minimum of 5 years' experience managing complex projects involving multidisciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders
Demonstrated experience delivering projects across the full lifecycle, from initiation through to delivery and closure
Strong understanding of project management methodologies including Agile and Waterfall
Experience managing project budgets, schedules, risks, and resources
Experience working within customer-facing delivery environments
Strong leadership and stakeholder management capability
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage at all organisational levels
Strong commercial awareness and financial management capability
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
Analytical and solution-focused approach to problem solving
Strong decision-making capability within fast-paced and evolving environments
Collaborative and proactive mindset with a focus on delivery excellence
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Nice to have:
Professional project management qualification such as APM PMQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, or equivalent
Experience within Defence or secure environments
