Job Description:

As Ireland’s largest IT Solutions Provider, with a growing global footprint, Ergo has a depth of expertise across managed services (IT & Hardware), cloud, applications & software services, IT Resourcing and modern work. We have a requirement for a client facing Project Manager to work with clients on Hybrid Cloud and/or Digital service/Software projects.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client requirements
  • Define project scope, objectives, and governance structure
  • develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and meet quality standards
  • Manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure delivery within agreed financial parameters
  • Conduct risk and issue management, implementing mitigation strategies and maintaining project health
  • Facilitate effective communication across stakeholders, including regular status reporting and stakeholder management
  • Manage third-party suppliers, vendors, and internal team members in a matrix environment
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and formalise acceptance of project deliverables
  • Support change management efforts to facilitate the successful adoption of digital solutions
  • Mentor and support other team members to foster a cooperative project environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 3-7 years’ experience in project management, ideally within IT, digital transformation, or regulated industries
  • Strong background in delivering complex IT system projects, including cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, or digital workplace initiatives
  • Demonstrable experience with both Agile and Waterfall (PMI PMBOK, PRINCE2, SCRUM, SAFe) methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise effectively, and coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, SharePoint, PowerBI) and documentation best practices
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to work with third parties and offshore development teams
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer orientation

Nice to have:

  • Additional languages (such as German) are advantageous
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)® – PMI
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) – for early-career candidates
  • Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist)
  • ITIL Foundation (for IT service management environments)
  • Additional technical or industry-specific certifications are a plus
