Project Manager

• Ensure all farming operations, relevant reporting, and budgetary requirements meet a high sustainable standard
• Lead on the design and implementation phases, providing technical advisory on planning, irrigation, farming, and budgeting
• Establish local partnership with local NGOs, farmer cooperatives, and other stakeholders
• Repairs & Maintenance of machinery and farming implements
• Coordinate activities with other Mota-Engil group companies to maximise efficiencies
• Ensure all work practices and processes are consistent and in line with Mota-Engil sustainability and SHEQ guidelines
• Work in close collaboration with the Technical Director regarding agriculture technical components.

• Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness Management or Agronomy (or relevant other)
• 5-10 years of professional experience in intensive farming operations including crops, soils, nutrients, equipment, and machinery
• Experience in the practices, principles and operations associated with modern, sustainable production agriculture and irrigation
• Expertise in large scale irrigation management and technologies
• Driving license (cat. B)
• Fluency in Portuguese. English and/or French is desirable
• Excellent organisational skills overseeing day to day operation. A hands-on approach on overall farming activities is essential
• Outstanding leadership and people management skills.
