You will join a growing Independent Connections Provider (ICP) who specialise in LV electricity networks as well as renewable energy projects. This role will be within the design team, focusing on supporting and growing the business through customer satisfaction. As a project manager you will be responsible for managing electrical infrastructure projects across London.
Job Responsibility:
Ownership of deliverables relating to time, cost, and quality, ensuring safe delivery of substation construction and refurbishment projects
Lead project teams to successful on time and within budget delivery of projects
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project delivery and client satisfaction
Work closely with the sales team to provide your expertise for bidding opportunities
Project cost control at all times
Earn and inspire trust in clients to win future business
Build reliable project plans
Manage subcontractors and drive best value
Keep a firm focus on Health and Safety at all times
Requirements:
Level 5 qualification, or equivalent qualification with experience
Project management training (Prince 2 or equivalent)
Contract management knowledge
Commercial experience and financial management of projects
Experience and/or relevant qualifications as well as a working knowledge of relevant current legislation, technical standards & specifications, codes of practice and any industry recommendations relating to all or one of the following utilities: gas, electricity, water or fibre distribution systems
Previous experience of working in the engineering/utilities sector and have good practical working knowledge of multi utilities to enable safe and efficient management of network construction
Have previous experience of programming works and able to use Microsoft Project
Competent in the use of MS Office software packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
Have exceptional customer service skills and a professional telephone manner and be highly organised
