Job Description

As a Project Manager at Zelis, you will be responsible for managing and delivering complex technical projects that support the modernization and enhancement of our healthcare financial platform. You will work closely with IT, engineering, product, and business stakeholders to align strategies, coordinate dependencies, and ensure successful project execution. You will lead cross-functional teams through technical initiatives, managing risks, tracking progress, and delivering high-quality solutions at scale.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead end-to-end project management for critical healthcare/fintech platform initiatives, emphasizing iterative delivery and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and business stakeholders, fostering a shared understanding of priorities
  • Define project scope, timelines, and execution plans while managing risks and interdependencies, using agile planning techniques
  • Facilitate backlog creation and refinement, ensuring that user stories and technical tasks are clear and prioritized
  • Implement lean governance processes to ensure consistent tracking and adaptive reporting of project progress
  • Track and manage project performance metrics, leveraging data to support informed decision-making
  • Drive technical discussions, architecture planning, and iterative process improvements
  • Mentor team members on lean-agile delivery best practices and encourage a culture of continuous learning

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of experience in project management within a Lean/Agile software development environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading complex, cross-functional technical initiatives using lean and agile methodologies
  • Proficiency with agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe) and modern project management tools (Jira, Confluence) to support iterative planning and continuous delivery
  • Proven ability to facilitate backlog creation and refinement, managing agile workflows and prioritizing user stories effectively
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience influencing stakeholders and driving collaborative decision-making
  • Proficiency in risk management within agile projects, ensuring adaptive planning and timely delivery
  • Hands-on experience in API-driven environments and cloud-based infrastructure, with a focus on integrating continuous feedback loops
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to optimize agile execution and improve project outcomes
  • Travel up to 25%
