We are looking for a Project Manager to lead pool construction and renovation work in Long Island, New York. This role is responsible for guiding projects from initial planning through final completion while keeping timelines, budgets, and quality standards on track. The ideal candidate brings strong field leadership, sound construction knowledge, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects.
Job Responsibility:
Direct construction and renovation assignments at the same time, ensuring each project moves smoothly from launch to final turnover
Build and manage project timelines, cost plans, and labor allocation strategies to support efficient execution
Lead subcontractors, suppliers, site supervisors, and field teams to maintain progress, workmanship standards, and on-time delivery
Visit job sites regularly to assess construction quality, reinforce safety expectations, and verify that milestones are being met
Evaluate and authorize purchase requests, contract adjustments, and billing documents with close attention to scope and budget
Address scheduling challenges, field conflicts, and project risks early to reduce disruption and keep work advancing
Ensure all project activity aligns with company expectations, applicable building regulations, and established safety practices
Provide day-to-day leadership to on-site personnel by setting clear direction, monitoring performance, and supporting problem resolution
Keep organized records such as daily reports, site photographs, permits, and final closeout documentation
Partner with the sales team during project kickoff to confirm scope, expectations, and a smooth transition into execution
Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience managing construction projects within pool construction, landscaping, general contracting, or a similar environment
Ability to oversee multiple active job sites at once while balancing deadlines, resources, and client expectations
Strong leadership capability with experience directing crews and ensuring subcontractors meet performance standards
Effective communication and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work professionally with clients and internal teams
Proficiency with project scheduling platforms, project management software, and standard office applications
Valid driver's license with a clean driving history
OSHA 30 certification, or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of starting the role
Nice to have:
Experience with inground pool installation or renovation
permitting and inspections
