The role This is a rare opportunity to join Greystar's growing Development & Construction team in Sydney, taking lead of two newly acquired landmark developments. Both developments represent a genuinely career-defining opportunity - the BTR as a State Significant Development new build, and the PBSA as a ground-up new build. Both assets offer full lifecycle ownership from planning and design development through D&C procurement, construction, practical completion, and handover. Working closely with our internal Operations, and Asset Management teams, as well as external contractors, consultants, and capital partners, you will be part of a collaborative, high-performing team that values integrity, attention to detail, and accountability.
Job Responsibility
Own end-to-end project management across two ground-up Sydney developments (BTR and PBSA), from procurement through to practical completion and handover
Manage and oversee the appointed D&C contractor, ensuring adherence to project specifications, design intent, programme, and budget
Coordinate and monitor external consultants and contractors, reviewing designs, samples, and benchmarks for approval in line with Principal Project Requirements
Proactively track milestones, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep both projects on time and on budget
Manage project documentation - contract administration, budget tracking, draw applications, and stakeholder reporting including capital partners
Champion WHS compliance through regular site inspections and proactive safety management
Lead completion and handover processes, including snagging, inspections, and phased handover coordination in partnership with Operations and Property Management teams
Requirements
Experience across ground-up residential projects - BTR, PBSA, or similar asset classes highly regarded
Currently in a Project Manager, Development PM, or Senior Project Engineer role
Client-side or builder-side experience in ground-up residential delivery required
Degree qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Building, or a related discipline
Solid knowledge of Australian building codes, WHS regulations, and construction standards
Proven experience in contractor and consultant procurement, contract administration, and cost control
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across all levels
