Job Description:

A Queensland commercial construction company with newly appointed senior leadership team is now growing in capabilities and opportunities are therefore looking for a new Project Manager. Our client prioritises complete D&C projects over a variety of sectors including industrial, education, retail, and hospitality with projects up to $15m.

Job Responsibility:

Review and interpret technical drawings, reports, engineering documents, and specifications to ensure project specifications are met
Lead and manage commercial construction projects, overseeing all phases from planning to completion, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource management
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to guarantee safety and quality
Supervise and coordinate a diverse project team, including engineers, subcontractors, and laborers, to maintain effective collaboration and communication
Provide regular and accurate financial updates and project progress reports to the management team
Coordinate the necessary steps for obtaining clearances, permits, and client-specific authorizations required for project execution
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering updates on project status, managing deliverables, and resolving issues as they arise

Requirements:

Stable track record in a Project Management role with a commercial construction head contractor
Minimum 5 years in a Project Manager role
A natural ability to drive the project forward all the while maintaining and developing relationships with subcontractors, consultants and clients alike
A trade or tertiary qualification in construction
