As a Project Manager within the Cooling Technologies Division at Integral UK, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of large-scale industrial cooling projects from initiation to completion. Your role will focus on managing major industrial installations that require comprehensive cooling solutions for food manufacturing facilities, data centers, distribution centers, and other industrial environments. Integral UK’s Industrial Cooling Division delivers high-value, large-scale refrigeration projects across a wide range of industrial sectors. We specialize in advanced systems using natural refrigerants such as Ammonia (NH₃) and CO₂, making this an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with strong technical and commercial acumen. In this role, you will oversee the full lifecycle of Industrial refrigeration projects. From concept and design through to commissioning and handover, ensuring the safe, efficient, and successful delivery of bespoke cooling solutions. This position demands strong project management skills, deep technical knowledge in industrial cooling technologies, and the ability to effectively coordinate complex, high-value projects while communicating and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and execute comprehensive project plans aligned with client requirements and industrial best practice
Work together with the Service managers to support the delivery of service projects works
Define scope, objectives, deliverables, and milestones for large-scale refrigeration projects
Coordinate extensive project resources, including specialized personnel, heavy equipment, and significant material volumes required
Monitor progress on complex, multi-phase projects, track critical milestones, and take necessary actions to mitigate risks and address issues in large-scale environments
Champion safe working practices across all project phases
Lead multidisciplinary project teams, fostering strong collaboration between engineering, design, installation, and commissioning functions
Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure seamless integration with internal teams
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and accountability
Conduct regular coordination meetings for multi-disciplinary teams working on major industrial installations
Monitor financial performance throughout the project lifecycle, controlling costs and identifying opportunities for efficiencies
Work closely with commercial and finance teams to ensure timely invoicing, reporting, and contractual compliance
Manage significant project budgets and collaborate with finance teams on high-value industrial contracts
Uphold rigorous quality standards and ensure all deliverables meet regulatory and client specifications
Drive adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, particularly around ammonia and CO₂ refrigeration systems
Act as the key point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and providing regular, transparent updates
Manage client expectations effectively, resolving challenges and ensuring satisfaction throughout delivery
Support business growth by identifying opportunities for repeat business and future industrial projects
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering or related discipline (advanced qualification desirable)
Proven track record managing large-scale industrial refrigeration projects, ideally with exposure to ammonia and/or large scale CO₂ systems
In-depth knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC, and industrial cooling technologies
Strong project management skills, with experience in planning, risk management, resource allocation, and financial control
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
Proficiency in project management software and reporting tools
Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to industrial refrigeration
