Job Description

A respected construction consultancy is seeking a Project Manager to deliver a mix of commercial, residential and education schemes across the North West. Based in central Manchester, the Project Manager will take a lead role in managing design and contractor teams, working closely with both private and public sector clients. This is a strong opportunity for a Project Manager looking to take the next step in their consultancy career. To be successful in this role, the Project Manager must have prior consultancy experience. The Project Manager will lead projects from feasibility to completion, typically valued up to £50m.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing full project delivery across key RIBA stages
  • Coordinating consultant teams and stakeholder communication
  • Overseeing cost plans, risk management and procurement
  • Administering JCT and NEC contracts
  • Monitoring project timelines and reporting progress
  • Attending site inspections and chairing progress meetings
  • Supporting new business opportunities and internal initiatives

Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a consultancy PM role
  • Working towards or recently gained MRICS or MAPM
  • Strong technical knowledge across sectors
  • Effective communicator with proven leadership ability
  • Experienced in pre- and post-contract delivery
  • Confident in managing multiple project stakeholders
