Job Description

This role holds single-point accountability and may operate under the general direction of a Project Director or Senior Project Manager. The Project Manager I (PM I) is responsible for managing or supporting all phases of project planning and execution to ensure success across key performance areas, including scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, and integration. This position is typically assigned multiple White or Green I projects, as defined by the Project Management Center of Excellence (PMCoE) Project Profile Matrix. Collectively, these projects are generally valued at under $10M and involve low to moderate complexity, impacting facility- or department-level operations. The PM I acts as the central leader, providing oversight, coordination, and control in alignment with company policies, procedures, and standards.

  • Manage team performance, resolve conflicts, and collaborate with functional managers
  • Establish and maintain effective communication across all stakeholders
  • Lead or support project meetings and reporting activities
  • Develop or support comprehensive project plans encompassing scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality
  • Oversee key planning activities such as scope definition, cost estimating, scheduling, procurement strategies, vendor selection, equipment planning, and commissioning
  • Execute or assist in executing projects in accordance with established plans
  • Manage all aspects of project delivery, including stakeholder alignment, risk management, quality assurance, safety compliance, environmental considerations, and change management

Requirements

  • Associate degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience
  • High school diploma/GED and a minimum of 5 years of related experience
