These works are key to ensuring sustainable, high-quality services for communities across the region. Role Overview: We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of Water projects from conception through to completion. You will be responsible for scope, budget, programme, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, ensuring all works are delivered in line with Morgan Sindall’s Perfect Delivery philosophy.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the delivery of projects to scope, budget, programme, quality, and safety standards
Manage design, engineering, construction, commercial, and handover phases
Implement risk management and value engineering processes, identifying risks and cost-saving opportunities
Provide clear direction, motivation, and leadership to project teams, consultants, and contractors
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, driving continuous improvement
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, presenting updates to key customers and stakeholders
Build and maintain strong customer relationships, proactively addressing needs and ensuring satisfaction
Implement Morgan Sindall’s systems, policies, and procedures to maintain compliance and manage risk
Champion service excellence, sustainability, and best practice across project delivery
Manage suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring strong performance and relationships
Review and approve project management plans, health and safety plans, and method statements
Support business planning, bid development, and growth opportunities within the framework
Coach and develop project staff, fostering a high-performing, motivated team
Requirements:
Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills
Strong leadership and team management experience
Proven ability to manage multiple projects to a high standard of compliance and quality
Sound knowledge of the construction industry, particularly within water or utilities
Ability to meet specifications, standards, and targets in a regulated environment
Strong commercial acumen with experience in budgets, forecasting, and reporting
Excellent negotiation and diplomacy skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
