A well-regarded construction consultancy in the heart of Manchester is seeking a professional and delivery-focused Project Manager to take the lead on a series of healthcare and public sector projects across the North West. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who wants to take ownership of client relationships while managing a diverse portfolio of projects through all stages of development. The successful Project Manager will join a forward-thinking consultancy known for its strong presence in the healthcare, education and civic sectors.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the full lifecycle of projects ranging in value from £5 million to £60 million, including NHS hospital refurbishments, health centres, and public infrastructure
Prepare delivery plans
Manage consultant teams
Liaise directly with clients and contractors
Oversee tender processes
Report on progress, risk and budget
Be the day-to-day project lead on multiple schemes
Involves both pre and post-contract duties
Contribute to wider team development and mentoring of junior colleagues
Requirements:
Degree qualified in Project Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying or similar
Three to five years’ experience within a UK construction consultancy
Background in healthcare, public sector or education projects preferred
Strong understanding of construction contracts, particularly JCT and NEC
Excellent organisational, communication and client management skills
Chartered or working towards chartership (MRICS, MAPM or MCIOB)
