Job Description:

We are seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join a growing engineering and design team in Arizona. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and water/wastewater system analysis and design. This group partners with municipalities, public utilities, and private developers on a wide range of projects—from planning and design through construction support and startup. With extensive experience across master-planned communities, mixed-use developments, and public works projects, the team is expanding and looking for professionals eager to advance their careers while making a direct impact in their communities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage water/wastewater infrastructure projects from concept through design, construction, and startup
  • Lead and mentor engineering teams in preparing construction documents for: Booster pump stations, storage facilities, and treatment plants
  • Groundwater wells and sewer pump stations
  • Reclaim water systems and utility mains
  • Oversee quality control, scheduling, budgeting, and client deliverables
  • Prepare technical documents including plans, specifications, basis of design reports, and hydraulic models/studies
  • Coordinate with municipalities, private utilities, consultants, and clients
  • Manage proposals, project billing, and client relationships
  • Provide construction-phase support (submittal reviews, RFI responses, startup/commissioning oversight)
  • Ensure technically sound, cost-efficient designs and resolve plan review issues

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 8 years of relevant experience with demonstrated project management skills
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Arizona, or ability to obtain within 12 months
  • Strong foundation in hydraulic principles and water/wastewater system design
  • Experience with planning/design of distribution and collection facilities, pump/lift stations, reservoirs, wells, and pipelines
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Strong communication, organizational, and client service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu, Bentley (WaterCAD, SewerCAD, Hammer), and/or InfoWater
  • Familiarity with Arizona state, local, and utility engineering requirements
