Fixed Term 12 Month Contract. You will join a growing Independent Connections Provider (ICP) who specialise in LV electricity networks as well as renewable energy projects. This role will be within the design team, focusing on supporting and growing the business through customer satisfaction. As a Project Manager you will be responsible to provide design development and coordination of MU (Multi Utility) networks (gas, water, electric, wastewater, tele-communications, and District Heating) and construction support to the Major and Key Infrastructure Projects Team, reporting to the Senior Major Projects Manager throughout.
Job Responsibility:

Proactively manage HSEQ issues & concerns, working closely with Construction teams to ensure safety by design and an accident and incident free culture is maintained
Undertake site inspections and safety audits
Work very closely with the Senior Project Manager to ensure project objectives are understood and met
Support the Senior Project Manager in liaising with internal and external Asset Adopting Companies and seek necessary design and adoption approvals through the life cycle of the project
Support the Senior Project Manager in managing the adoption process for projects involving external UIP/ICP’s
Work closely with the Project Officer, ESO’s and Design team to fully meet customer and business requirements
To liaise and coordinate with other records teams within the business to ensure that all updated as-laids are uploaded to relevant databases/platforms
Be creative in finding solutions to problems to maintain project delivery programme
Coordinate design development with internal and external designers and prepare appropriate drawings
Review external design drawings and coordinate comments from relevant internal stakeholders and manage responses through the necessary client document management systems
Produce combined services MU drawings in CAD format and support the client design team with clash detection exercise where necessary
Support Project Managers with site inspections to ensure MU assets are constructed in a safe manager and in accordance with approved methods, standards and specifications
Ensure MU assets are recorded correctly on AutoCAD/GIS platforms
Requirements:
Experience and/or relevant qualifications as well as knowledge of relevant current Legislation, Technical Standards & Specifications, Codes of Practice and any Industry Recommendations relating to all or one of the following utilities
Gas, Electricity, Water or Fibre Distribution Systems
Must have previous experience of working in the engineering/utilities sector and have good practical working knowledge of Multi Utilities to enable safe and efficient management of network construction
Must be proficient in the use of AutoCAD
Have previous experience of programming works – highly desirable but not essential
Be able to use Microsoft Project or the ability to learn
Competent in the use of MS Office software packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
Highly competent administrator with excellent administration skills, including the ability to compile internal and external written correspondence
Have exceptional customer service skills and a professional telephone manner and be highly organised
Must be eligible to work in the UK
A full valid driving licence - highly desirable but not essential
