Job Description:

We are looking for experienced hotel architecture/design and hotel MEP Engineering Consultants to support a global hotel organization. This Contract position(s) is ideal for a hospitality-focused candidate with strong expertise in hotel architecture, design standards, or building systems engineering who can bring structure to complex technical documentation. The role centers on evaluating large volumes of standards content, improving its organization and usability, and helping prepare it for migration into a modern platform while maintaining technical accuracy and consistency. The ideal consultant will combine strong hotel subject-matter expertise with excellent document analysis skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and comfort leveraging AI tools to accelerate content review, refinement, and recommendations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Examine existing hotel standards and technical specifications stored in document-based formats and determine how they should be organized for improved usability
  • Convert complex, inconsistently structured content into a standardized Excel master file that supports accurate tracking and future platform integration
  • Analyze standards documentation to identify duplication, obsolete references, conflicting direction, and areas requiring clearer language
  • Contribute to the migration of standards content into a new technical platform by preparing, validating, and structuring information appropriately
  • Apply hospitality architecture, design, or engineering knowledge to verify that requirements are practical, current, and aligned with hotel operations
  • Recommend revisions that strengthen standards quality, reflect present-day industry practices, and support efficient hotel development and maintenance
  • Use AI-enabled tools to accelerate document review, summarize technical content, and improve the clarity and consistency of specifications
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across design, engineering, and project teams to preserve content integrity throughout the review process
  • Establish organized documentation methods, naming conventions, and taxonomy structures to improve standards management across the hotel portfolio
  • Maintain disciplined version control and detailed records to ensure accuracy, traceability, and consistency across large data sets

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, architecture, design, engineering, or a related technical field
  • Strong background in the hospitality industry, with hands-on knowledge of hotel standards, specifications, or operational requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise in either hotel architecture/design standards or hotel building systems engineering, including areas such as HVAC, MEP, or related infrastructure
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting technical documentation, design criteria, engineering standards, or specification packages
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to organize, manage, and validate large structured data sets efficiently
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or similar technologies for document analysis, synthesis, and content refinement
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation capabilities with careful attention to detail
  • Ability to manage high volumes of detailed information accurately while working with cross-functional stakeholders
