We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Senior Consultant to lead technology initiatives supporting commercial lending and credit risk operations in Hazlet, New Jersey. This role acts as the key connection between business stakeholders and software delivery teams, helping translate operational needs into well-executed project plans. The position focuses on guiding the delivery of automated lending and decisioning solutions while keeping timelines, governance, and cross-functional collaboration on track.
Job Responsibility
Lead end-to-end project execution for commercial lending and credit risk technology initiatives, ensuring deliverables align with business objectives and operational priorities
Partner with product leaders, engineers, and data specialists to establish project scope, key milestones, dependencies, and implementation schedules
Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog reviews to support steady delivery progress
Maintain comprehensive project governance materials, including project plans, status updates, risk logs, budgets, and executive reporting
Coordinate cross-functional teams to evaluate process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions that strengthen efficiency and business performance
Oversee the delivery of platform components such as decisioning workflows, API integrations, model pipelines, data movement processes, and user-facing applications
Monitor project risks, team accountability, and issue resolution efforts to keep multiple initiatives moving forward effectively
Support vendor-related activities from initial evaluation through selection and contract discussions when third-party solutions are required
Ensure data handling practices and technical execution meet security expectations, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements
Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, shared services teams, and external partners to enable effective collaboration and communication
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience managing technical projects that involve close coordination between business teams and technology organizations
Hands-on knowledge of commercial lending or loan operations, including products, workflows, and regulatory considerations
Solid understanding of Agile delivery methods, software development lifecycle practices, and enterprise technology environments
Experience using project management tools such as Jira to track progress, manage backlogs, and report status
Ability to manage several concurrent initiatives while maintaining attention to detail, timelines, and stakeholder communication
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn complex information into actionable plans
PMP certification or Agile Scrum experience is strongly preferred
