The Project Manager (PM) will lead strategic initiatives focused on healthcare security and regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for ensuring alignment with key federal and state regulations. The PM will drive compliance efforts across protective services policies and procedures, ensuring projects uphold a secure and compliant healthcare environment. Additionally, the PM will collaborate with industry peers to benchmark performance, share best practices, and implement improvements that enhance the organization’s overall security posture.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinates the timely completion of annual security risk surveys and assessment reports
Develop, coordinate, and administer departmental programs, projects, and initiatives to reduce risk/crime
Prepares security-related project plans, security risk assessments, and other documentation as required
Serves as system or database administrator for various departmental applications
Assist in project documentation management
Conducts resource assignment and schedule maintenance
Accepts other assignments for specialty projects as requested and deemed appropriate by assigned Manager
Files documents, posts deliverables, schedules meetings, and prepares agendas
Coordinate multiple concurrent projects and oversee them through completion
Contributes to compliance with federal and state security and risk regulations including The Joint Commission, CMS, HIPAA, and Cal/OSHA
other state laws related to Workplace Violence prevention and healthcare security
and the organization’s protective services-related policies and procedures
Collaborates with counterparts in the healthcare security industry to benchmark performance and exchange best practices
Builds and maintains effective working relationships with others
Compiles data and runs reports in support of security analyses and planning
Evaluates the effectiveness of existing security practices and provides recommendations
Assists in incident trending, analyses, and report/presentation development as needed
Assists with development of data collection/management and report automation programs
Assists in the day-to-day management of Protective Services incident and daily reporting processes
Works closely with other team members in collecting and routing information
Utilizes electronic survey tools to obtain feedback and conduct needs assessments
Works within an established framework to protect our clients' people, property, assets, and interests
Responsible for coordinating activities and resources in support of programs or projects that impact multiple stakeholders, systems, or workflows with moderate to high risk and complexity
Responsible for identifying, defining, and documenting physical security risks, training deficiencies, and opportunities relative to physical security best practices and regulatory requirements related to the healthcare industry
Compiles data, writes routine reports, and conducts training designed to ensure compliance and improve enterprise-wide security posture
Coordinates and maintains physical security practices designed to safeguard personnel and prevent unauthorized access to acute and non-acute care facilities
