Robert Half Management Resource is looking for a Project Manager to join one of our clients on an interim basis. This role includes managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, procurement, field execution, customer communication, and project documentation to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate brings strong construction project management experience, working knowledge of solar PV systems, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility
Manage the full lifecycle of solar installation projects, including kickoff, planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and reporting to track performance against milestones
Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, installers, engineers, vendors, utilities, and customers to ensure smooth project execution
Oversee field activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract documents, design requirements, and company standards
Monitor project costs, approve invoices, manage change orders, and identify opportunities to improve project margin and execution efficiency
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, permits, interconnection requirements, environmental requirements, and jobsite safety policies
Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders on schedule, budget, risks, and issue resolution
Review submittals, RFIs, procurement status, and long-lead equipment schedules to proactively address project risks
Support site assessments, constructability reviews, and project planning prior to mobilization
Partner with field teams to drive quality control, punch list completion, commissioning activities, and final closeout documentation
Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, schedules, budgets, meeting notes, safety documentation, and turnover packages
Promote a culture of accountability, safety, communication, and continuous improvement across all assigned projects
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, project management, renewable energy, or a related field
equivalent experience will be considered
3+ years of project management experience in solar, electrical, construction, EPC, or related installation environments
Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and customer-facing project communication
Working knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical construction practices, and project delivery methods
Strong understanding of jobsite safety requirements and construction quality standards
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, and project schedules
Strong organizational, problem-solving, negotiation, and leadership skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management or scheduling software
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites and other sites as needed
