Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Project Manager with expertise in operations and project accounting to join our team in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in overseeing project portfolio management, ensuring seamless integration with accounting systems, and aligning project accounting processes with organizational standards. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and implement project accounting rules and processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Oversee the integration of project accounting systems with the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage project portfolios effectively, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met
  • Utilize Oracle systems for data mapping and project management, ensuring seamless functionality
  • Define and implement transaction accounting processes for ongoing and new projects
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and other relevant accounting standards
  • Create and manage implementation roadmaps to guide project teams toward successful outcomes
  • Address and resolve challenges related to project accounting and system integration
  • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project progress and financial performance

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project accounting, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in Oracle systems, including data mapping and integration features
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP and other relevant accounting standards
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects in a collaborative environment
  • Strong skills in developing and implementing accounting rules and processes
  • Experience creating implementation roadmaps and managing project timelines
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, particularly in addressing accounting and system integration challenges
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and team members
