About the Role: (Senior) Project Manager is responsible for project planning, management, and achieving project goals. Acting as a bridge between HONDA’s various business units and Drivemode team, you will ensure that projects are completed within the specified time frame and budget. Your experience in project management allows you to lead complex projects efficiently and to maintain high quality standards.
Job Responsibility:
Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation
Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, resource estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation
Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget
Ensure compliance with quality standards and continuously improve project management processes
Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan
Requirements:
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science
5+ years project manager work experience
Software development experience
Native or fluent Japanese (N1 level) together with business level English skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
Structured thinker with a passion for problem-solving
Nice to have:
Consulting firm work experience
Additional qualifications, such as a doctorate or MBA
Professional certification such as PMP or PRINCE2
Experience in cloud-based solutions (e.g. AWS or equivalent)
Several years of experience as a Scrum Master, ideally in large agile projects or scaled frameworks (e.g. SAFe or equivalent)
Experience in working with agile metrics, KPIs and tools such as Jira
