Job Description:

Join the National Energy Analysis Centre (NEAC) as a Project Manager, where you'll play a central role in delivering a portfolio of high-impact projects that support Australia's transition to a low-emissions energy future. You will work closely with the NEAC leadership and a cross-disciplinary team to develop and manage project plans, ensure governance and compliance, and maintain a clear and cohesive operational roadmap.

Job Responsibility:

Lead the coordination of the National Energy Analysis Centre's operational plan
Drive delivery across a dynamic portfolio of client and development projects
Developing and maintaining NEAC's operational plan and project portfolio
Implementing project controls to support delivery, learning, and risk management
Supporting proposal development, budgeting, and resource planning
Coordinating client engagement activities and tracking outcomes
Preparing reports to support governance and strategic decision-making
Fostering strong internal and external relationships and a positive team culture
Upholding CSIRO's values and commitment to safety, diversity, and sustainability

Requirements:

Formal qualifications in project management and 5+ years' experience managing digital or other large-scale projects
Proven ability to lead programs in dynamic, fast-changing environments
Experience coordinating diverse teams and external partners for efficient delivery
Strong skills in budgeting, procurement, contract management, and reporting
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
A collaborative, agile mindset and a commitment to purpose-driven work

Nice to have:

Experience facilitating Agile or other project methodologies
Familiarity with research environments and compliance requirements
Knowledge of the Australian energy sector or climate policy landscape
