We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager- Marine Operations Engineering to join our dynamic team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the Regional and Global Directors of Marine Operations Engineering as well as the broader Longitude and ABL Group leadership
  • Proactively handle business development, sales, and project delivery and management for engineering consultancy activities
  • Take charge of all technical and scheduling matters pertaining to the assigned project(s)
  • Coordinate with the Discipline Heads / Team Leads and subcontractors to ensure the appropriate resources are in place to execute and deliver projects
  • Oversee and coordinate marketing, business development, and sales activities
  • Prepare proposals for bids and tenders and approve or support the approval process
  • Partake in activities to promote the business and develop new clients
  • Support day-to-day client management activities with clients
  • Support and undertake tendering activities
  • Undertake technical consultancy / chargeable work as required
  • Oversee the management of projects in terms of safety, quality, schedule, financial performance, and resources
  • Guide and supervise assigned engineers and drafting personnel to complete projects
  • Oversee invoicing and cash collection activities with support from finance
  • Identification of training needs and competency/capability development within the relevant teams
  • Work with discipline leads to coordinate and deliver identified training and development activities
  • Work with wider group to identify training opportunities
  • Identify one’s own training requirements to maintain continued professional development
  • Support the training and development of engineers within the business line teams
  • Ensure familiarity within the business line team of compliance with internal policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Ensure compliance and familiarity with business-line specific standards within the business line team
  • Ensure projects delivered in accordance with company procedures
  • Ensure safety requirements on the HSE procedures are followed for staff working outside of the office
  • Follow the requirements of the QHSE management systems
  • Act as Longitude’s ‘China Market Lead’ for the Marine Operations Engineering (T&I) business line and ‘China Market Liaison’ for the Facilities & Subsea Engineering, Ship Design & Modification, and the Offshore Wind Design & Engineering business lines
  • Represent the interests of all Group companies to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in all business activities
  • Support other business line leads as required for projects or clients and during periods of leave

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in an engineering discipline related to business line and experience in the due diligence activities, e.g., naval architecture, offshore engineering, or structural engineering
  • 10 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 5 years’ experience in Marine Operations (T&I) engineering
  • Demonstrated experience with the management of complex projects and challenging stakeholders
  • Experience managing engineering teams
  • Experience in marketing, business development, and sales
  • Working knowledge of engineering principles and practices relevant to marine operations
  • Ability to select and apply standards, guidelines, methods, and techniques
  • Knowledge of offshore/ marine structural or naval architecture engineering analysis and design computer programs/ software
  • Ability to organize and manage effectively, including balancing competing priorities
  • Familiar with commercial and contractual issues and able to provide guidance internally and externally
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
  • Ability to co-ordinate, direct and lead projects and work under own initiative with minimum supervision
  • Advanced use of MS Office
