Job Description

The Project Manager will spearhead the management and delivery of LV and 11kV connections projects, working closely with Independent Connection Providers (ICPs) from project inception through to energisation. This role demands exceptional client management skills to facilitate successful project completions and seamless handovers to the asset management team. You'll be overseeing a really interesting and diverse range of connections including large battery storage sites, HV commercial EV installations and, as the company seeks to begin adopting grid scale assets, transmission grade schemes up to 400kV.

Job Responsibility

  • Assume full responsibility for the management and delivery of a programme of works
  • Engage in regular liaison with clients, providing monthly reports, project welcome packs, and initiating project kick-off meetings
  • Oversee the stage and gate process for projects, ensuring compliance with all required checklists, documentation, and evidence
  • Support data management for comprehensive internal and external reporting
  • Maintain accurate project information within the company’s IT systems
  • Collaborate with various departments to promote efficient operations and client satisfaction

Requirements

  • A proactive, customer-focused approach, with a genuine passion for the utilities industry
  • Proficient in project and asset management systems, with a high degree of computer literacy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team under tight deadlines
  • Desirable - Prince2, Agile, or Associate Project Manager (APM)

  • 3+ years of proven project management experience specifically within high-power DC rapid charging depots, utility-scale renewables, or heavy electrical infrastructure
