Job Description

ESG Project Manager- Supply Chain and Sustainability. Duration: 6-month contract. Location: Hybrid- 1 day per week on site in Central London. Pay range: £600- £650.00 per day/ Inside IR35. Start date: ASAP. Role Summary: We are seeking a professional with strong experience in waste reduction, supply chain operations, and corporate net zero strategy to develop a comprehensive business case for achieving net zero, for presentation at board level. The role involves engaging with multiple internal stakeholders to assess current operations and identify key environmental impact areas, such as fleet emissions, property infrastructure, and energy usage. You will analyse the organisation’s current carbon footprint and operational inefficiencies, quantify the scale of the challenge, and identify risks and opportunities for reduction. Based on this, you will develop a clear, costed roadmap to achieve net carbon zero within a four-year timeframe, alongside a detailed project plan outlining timelines, milestones, and required resources. Job Details: The Project Manager is a member of the Transformation team, responsible for the development and delivery of functional strategies, role modelling the company behaviours and demonstrating a drive towards our company’s Vision. The Project Manager will lead the delivery of the ESG (environment, social and governance) transformation programme from initiation through delivery, implementation, close, and hand over to operational teams. This will typically be operating within a portfolio via a project/programme or value stream/Agile Release Train – delivering via both agile/traditional/hybrid approaches. The role holder will be overseeing everything from the high-level engagement and governance with key decision makers and stakeholders, leading on project approach and structure – down through to delivery on the ground with internal and supplier side delivery teams. They will drive a culture of inclusion, continuous improvement, and high performance in the teams they lead, delivering and driving decision-making across the Business, Customers and Partners.
