Job Description

Are you a Project Manager with experience engaging stakeholders and developing effective plans to manage initiatives?. Our Alberta-based Financial client is seeking a Project Manager for an 8 month contract.

Job Responsibility

  • Collaborate with Technology, Business, and 3rd party stakeholders to confirm the problems to be solved, expected outcomes and project deliverables
  • Identify and confirm project approach and engage appropriate stakeholders to develop detailed resource estimates and effective plans to manage the initiative
  • Assign deliverables, tasks and activities and continuously monitor and control all associated resources, schedules and plans
  • Report on status, risk management, budget/cost, success criteria and reporting as required
  • Anticipate and effectively manage risks and issues throughout the lifecycle of the initiative
  • Ensure optimal communications within and across teams and with all project stakeholders
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis and ensure a strong and positive stakeholder relationship
  • Provide positive team leadership and motivate those teams directly and indirectly involved
  • Identify key requirements for cross-functional teams and external vendors
  • Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects
  • Ensure team members are effectively onboarded onto projects
  • Support planning, preparing, and conducting of project delivery ceremonies
  • Reports key metrics to senior stakeholders
