Our DC-based agency client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager, Engagement Services to join their team on a full-time, remote basis (U.S.-based with occasional travel to Washington, D.C.). This role supports the delivery of integrated communications, marketing, and engagement projects focused on education and social impact initiatives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects and manage client expectations
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and scopes of work
  • Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure efficient execution
  • Lead project meetings and ensure stakeholder alignment
  • Oversee quality control of deliverables and ensure compliance with requirements
  • Track budgets, monitor expenses, and proactively flag risks or overruns
  • Provide regular status updates and financial reporting
  • Support development of communications and campaign strategies across digital, PR, and content initiatives
  • Conduct research to inform project direction and recommendations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated marketing outputs
  • Support creation of content including press releases, thought leadership pieces, social media plans, email campaigns, blog content, and web copy
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and ensure alignment with project goals
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support relationships with vendors, consultants, and partners

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of project management experience in communications, marketing, or public relations
  • Agency experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and budgets simultaneously
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana or similar)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Familiarity with PK–workforce education or social impact space is a plus
