Job Description

Project Manager Data Migration | Hands-on SQL & Reporting | Long-term Financial Project. Are you a hands-on Project Manager with a strong data mindset? For a long-term migration program within a financial enterprise, we are looking for someone who combines project leadership with real involvement in data analysis, SQL logic, testing, and reporting. You’ll work closely with Data Analysts and Engineers to safeguard data quality while steering a complex migration forward.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and coordinate ETL and reporting adjustments during migration
  • Act as the primary point of contact for business, data, and IT stakeholders
  • Prepare functional specifications to support Data Engineers and Analysts
  • Execute and coordinate testing activities (functional testing, data validation, documentation)
  • Review SQL logic at a conceptual level to validate business rules
  • Verify correctness and completeness of migrated datasets and reports
  • Facilitate progress meetings, status updates, and risk escalation

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a Project Manager in data or migration projects
  • Strong SQL knowledge (able to understand and discuss business logic and transformations)
  • Experience with ETL tooling (DataStage or similar) and reporting tools (Cognos and/or Power BI)
  • Proven experience with data validation, reconciliation, and testing approaches
  • Structured, detail-oriented working style
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Nice to have

Experience in banking or financial services is a strong plus
