Job Description

We are working with a respected building fit out company that deliver projects across healthcare, education and commercial sectors. They specialise in delivering small to medium Design & Construct projects ranging from $500k to $40M, with particular expertise in hospital, medical and dental facilities, including complex extensions, additions and interior fit-outs. They currently employ 30 people in their business. To help them deliver their ever expanding project portfolio, we are looking to source a Project Manager to deliver a health infrastructure project and to support another live fit out project in Sutherlandshire The projects are worth $4 million and $10 million in value. The role is predominantly based in Sydney's Inner West although one day week will be spent on the project site in Sutherlandshire. This role will see you reporting directly to the Managing Director and taking ownership of a $4M early works package for the expansion of an existing hospital's antenatal unit. The project is primarily an internal fit-out, with technical complexity around fabrication, services coordination and design management within a live healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar
  • 4-5 years' experience in project management within a commercial head contractor environment
  • Proven experience delivering projects $2M+
  • Strong design management/finalisation exposure and working with government clients to develop DA's and RA's
  • Commercial and financial management capability
  • Experience managing subcontractors and client relationships
  • Familiarity with project software such as Procore
  • Strong communication, negotiation and leadership skills
  • Experience working with medical gases
  • Experience with infection control requirements
