We are seeking a Project Manager to join a Civil/Site Land Development team in Arizona. The Project Manager will oversee project management, client relations, profitability, and leadership of the design team. Responsibilities include financial performance, preparation of technical proposals and invoices, budget monitoring, staff supervision, scheduling of key projects, and execution of civil engineering design tasks. This position offers flexibility for office-based work in Phoenix, West Valley, or Gilbert, as well as a remote option within Arizona.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee technical accuracy, compliance with engineering standards, and proper documentation on plans, reports, and design documents
Manage or review design tasks including conceptual planning, grading, and drainage designs to ensure value engineering
Conduct ordinance reviews, utility service research, and coordination with agencies
perform site visits to evaluate construction issues
Maintain quality control for all project deliverables
Identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions
Develop project schedules and construction timelines
Prepare proposals, project scopes, schedules, and change orders as needed
Manage project financials including invoices, accounts receivable, and profitability
Lead a team of engineers while also working independently on multiple projects
Provide client management including updates, meetings, and project discussions
Mentor junior staff with technical training and guidance
Ensure proper use of AutoCAD standards for details, layering, and documentation
Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
8 years of related experience
Professional engineering licensure strongly preferred
Valid driver's license preferred
Proven experience in land development
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
ability to mentor junior staff in design
Strong communication and collaboration skills with clients, coworkers, and agencies
Knowledge of local, county, and state land use processes and regulations
Advanced technical expertise in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrology, grading, and site development
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage projects independently while leading teams
