Job Description:

Managing a construction project for a growing construction and Engineering & Design company in Montreal. Lead stimulating residential and commercial projects.

Job Responsibility:

  • Turn paper plans into real buildings by managing the full project lifecycle
  • Manage schedules with MS Project
  • Keep a hawk's eye on budgets and profitability
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and professionals
  • Get out in the field to chat with superintendents, check quality, and ensure safety
  • Manage site 'surprises' with creativity

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Architecture (College or University)
  • Between 5 and 10 years of experience
  • Knowledge of the Building Code and Quebec construction laws
  • Membership of the OIQ is great, but experience is also accepted
  • Valid driver's license
  • Mastery of French (spoken and written) is non-negotiable
  • English is a very practical asset
  • Black belt in problem-solving
  • Iron fist in a velvet glove for negotiations
  • Ability to read complex blueprints
  • Mastery of the Office suite and MS Project
  • Natural leadership
