Job Description

Right now, we are looking for a Project Manager Balance of Plant – Underground Piping for our Site Infrastructure & Utilities team. In this role you will report to our Head of Area and work within our Project Delivery function. The team is responsible for delivering the full site infrastructure required to enable hydrogen, DRI, and steel production at scale. Specific to this role, you will lead the underground piping scope from engineering through construction and handover to operations. You will work in a matrix structure alongside Site Execution, Project Control, and Engineering to secure safe, efficient, and predictable delivery.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the full lifecycle delivery of the underground piping scope, from design and procurement to construction and commissioning
  • Own scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring alignment with overall project targets
  • Drive contractors and partners to meet safety, quality, cost, and timeline commitments
  • Apply and follow Stegra’s governance structure across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning
  • Manage scope baseline and change control, ensuring a clear source of truth
  • Track critical path activities and secure key milestones
  • Monitor cost performance and challenge technical solutions to optimize value
  • Report progress, risks, and escalations to senior management and key stakeholders as required

Requirements

  • 15+ years of industry experience, including at least 10 years leading complex industrial projects
  • Degree (B.Sc., M.Sc., or similar), preferably within civil or mechanical engineering
  • Strong experience delivering projects through both design and execution phases
  • Experience with underground piping is a strong advantage
  • Solid commercial and contract management skills, ideally from an owner or owner’s representative perspective
  • Proven ability to manage scope, cost, schedule, and change in demanding environments
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience working in multicultural teams and high-pressure project settings
