The Parking Infrastructure and Asset Management department with our client is seeking a Project Manager on a two‑year contract, to lead the planning and execution of an infrastructure implementation project including planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover while meeting approved timelines, budgets, safety requirements, and standards. This role will oversee electrical upgrades, installation of new IT conduit, and associated construction activities required to modify existing parking structures and civil works at surface lots in support of the clients parking equipment modernization and pedestrian/vehicle access‑control program across all facilities.
Job Responsibility
Performs complete start to close-out project management on design and construction of infrastructure without staff delegation to support TPA’s parking equipment modernization and pedestrian/vehicle access‑control program across our facilities and surface lots.
Work with internal/external stakeholders to develop scope for infrastructure implementation to support park’s equipment modernization and pedestrian/vehicle access control.
Manage all aspects of project scope of work
initiate prepare and present agreements that govern the engagement of consultants and contractors for execution.
Review and evaluate consultant studies reports design proposals specifications and contract documents for compliance with company standards and any other applicable industry guidelines or practices.
Prepare and/or co-ordinate design consultants’ preparation of Tender Package, consisting of Drawings and Technical Specifications, as required
Organizational, interpersonal and oral/written/presentation communication skills to coordinate complex multi-disciplinary projects under pressure to meet schedule and budget commitments
Chair meetings, and co-ordination with internal/external stakeholders for design and construction of infrastructure.
Attend construction site meetings to review progress, co-ordinate with internal/external stakeholders for infrastructure implementation
Requirements
Recognized post-secondary education related to the building construction industry are considered assets, including a P.Eng., Licensed Architect (OAA), C.E.T., and C.Tech.
A minimum of four (4) years' experience with proven past experience project managing with any aspect of design, construction and commissioning of multi-disciplinary projects is strongly desired.
Project Management Professional (PMP) is an asset.
Valid Ontario Class G driver's license and ability to travel to multiple work locations and construction sites.
Sound project management skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to handle competing priorities while remaining flexible and adaptable in a complex and changing work environment
Developed decision-making, creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills to derive solutions and appropriate responses to problems in the face of conflicting needs

Stakeholder management experience including communication with senior leadership
