Known for their strong commitment to quality, innovation, and safety, they are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager and Estimator to join their growing team in Adelaide. This is a critical, dual-focused role that offers the chance to manage high-value projects from conception through to handover. The Project Manager and Estimator will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of concrete projects, ensuring seamless coordination from the initial tender stage through to final completion. The successful candidate will leverage a blend of technical expertise and proven project management capability to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Job Responsibility:
Cost Estimation & Tendering: Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates and comprehensive tender submissions for a diverse range of complex concrete projects
Project Planning: Develop, implement, and rigorously manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
Stakeholder Management: Coordinate effectively with clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the entire project life cycle
Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor project progress and performance against targets, identifying and resolving challenges swiftly to mitigate risk
Compliance & Quality: Ensure strict compliance with all relevant safety regulations and quality standards during all phases of construction
Site Assessment: Conduct regular site visits and detailed inspections to accurately assess project requirements, conditions, and progress
Proposal Presentation: Prepare and professionally present comprehensive project proposals and updates to clients
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field (highly regarded)
A relevant trade background with a track record of estimating and project management skills are also considered
Demonstrable experience in project management and cost estimation, ideally gained within the commercial, civil, or industrial concreting industry
Strong technical knowledge of concrete materials, pouring processes, finishing techniques, and construction methods
Proficiency in modern project management software and cost estimation tools
Exceptional communication, leadership, and organisational skills, with a focus on attention to detail
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively and thrive in a fast-paced environment
