Our client is a growing multi-utility provider covering the Midlands and South East, specialising in gas, electricity, water services, and EV charging solutions. They operate on a strong value system and take a customer first, boutique approach to project delivery. We are seeking an Electrical Project Manager experienced in handling projects up to 11kV, to lead our electrical division focusing on diverse multi-utility projects. This role is ideal for individuals from hands-on backgrounds such as Cable Jointers or Supervisors aspiring to step into project management.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage electrical projects to ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and maintain direct communication with senior management
  • Efficiently manage project resources, timelines, and budgets

Requirements

  • Proven project management / delivery experience in the utilities sector, particularly with projects up to 11kV
  • Must possess an Electrical Engineering qualification / DNO authorisations of competence

  • Assist in costing schemes for quotations and identify and inform Directors / Senior Managers of commercial opportunities as appropriate
  • Work in accordance with project programs to ensure dates and milestones are achieved to ensure projects are completed on time, first time
  • Actively monitor performance of all site staff including subcontractors with respect to Health and Safety, Quality and Environment and ensure all incidents are reported and investigated, with remedies implemented and monitor performance and safety requirements regularly and implement improvements
  • Survey and quote individual projects based on a contract schedule of rates and resources are adequate for the workload and that projects are delivered in an economic and timely manner
  • Be proactive in promoting continuous improvement and innovation in our working methodology and work closely with the support team to ensure delivery programmes are in place and progress is monitored
  • ICP client reporting and liaison including arranging progress meetings and client audits with Subcontractor monitoring
