Job Description:

We are recruiting an experienced and quality-driven Project Manager – White Space Outfitting (Data Centre) to lead the delivery of data centre white space environments. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing installation and commissioning activities, ensuring all deliverables meet strict quality standards, technical specifications and client expectations. This position also carries a key responsibility as Quality Lead, driving consistency, accuracy and excellence across Onnec’s projects, including installation, documentation and overall project delivery standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing end-to-end delivery of white space outfitting activities, including rack deployment, containment systems, cabling installation, PDUs and associated infrastructure
  • Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, budgets, risk logs and resource allocation
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams, subcontractors, vendors and client representatives to ensure aligned and efficient delivery
  • Overseeing procurement and logistics to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment
  • Leading project meetings, providing progress updates and managing structured change control processes
  • Acting as Quality Lead across projects, ensuring all work is delivered to the highest industry and customer standards
  • Developing and maintaining quality plans, inspection test plans (ITPs), method statements and installation guidelines
  • Conducting inspections, audits and quality walkdowns to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings
  • Leading root-cause analysis for defects and deviations, and implementing corrective and preventive actions
  • Ensuring accurate and complete documentation, including as-built records, test results and commissioning reports
  • Driving continuous improvement and consistency across teams and subcontractors
  • Coordinating inspection and calibration of equipment
  • Supporting HSE leads to ensure compliance with safety rules, site inductions and safe work procedures
  • Assisting in maintaining adherence to company and site safety requirements
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients regarding project progress, quality and key deliverables
  • Managing expectations and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Facilitating collaboration between internal teams, partners and suppliers
  • Overseeing testing, commissioning and validation to ensure all deliverables meet technical and operational requirements
  • Ensuring readiness for handover, including complete and accurate documentation
  • Supporting client acceptance and sign-off processes

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing data centre or critical infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of white space environments, including mechanical and electrical interfaces
  • Experience within quality assurance and quality control in technical or construction environments
  • Certifications such as ISO 9001, Lean or Six Sigma are advantageous
  • Strong communication, coordination and leadership skills
