Job Description:

To provide accurate setting out, surveying, and engineering support across renewable energy project sites, acting as the technical link between design teams and on-site construction while ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Job Responsibility:

  • Transfer design drawings into accurate on-site layouts
  • Verify construction works comply with approved engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Supervise contractors and subcontractors to ensure works meet engineering and quality standards
  • Conduct regular site inspections, quality checks, and technical verifications
  • Maintain accurate records of surveys, measurements, and as-built documentation
  • Prepare daily and weekly site reports for the Senior Project Manager
  • Support technical problem-solving and provide engineering input during construction activities
  • Liaise with design engineers, project managers, and clients as required
  • Communicate technical requirements clearly to site teams
  • Assist with client and regulatory inspections when required

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Renewable Energy Engineering
  • Experience in setting out and surveying on construction or renewable energy projects
  • Proficient in CAD software and surveying equipment (total station, GPS, laser levels)
  • Strong knowledge of renewable energy systems and construction practices
  • Health & Safety certification (NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent) preferred
  • Excellent communication and technical reporting abilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve on-site engineering challenges
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong understanding of UK renewable energy guidelines and construction standards
