The EU Product Change Management (PCM) department is part of the International Consumer Brands (ICB) RD&E organization and is composed of Project Managers and technical functions responsible for validating, qualifying and commercializing product-related changes as well as new product launches sourced in Europe. The primary responsibility of the EU PCM Project Manager is to manage and deliver multiple end-to-end projects from late Development to Commercialization, following internal processes to achieve EU regional goals of Net Sales, Share, Cost Savings, Delivered Profit Margin, Quality and Case Fill Rate. The EU PCM Project Manager is, in that context, expected to work with and engage the cross-functional team (RD&E, Supply Chain, Commercial) ensuring objectives and deliverables are met on time, quality and cost and to manage communication to different levels of stakeholders. The RD&E Hub is based in the US and depending on the project scope, the governance can be ‘ICB led’ or regional. For ‘ICB led’ projects, the PCM Project Manager is expected to work together with the ICB RD&E Project Manager.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and manage a detailed project schedule to meet launch commitments in each country defined in the project scope
Manage the project scope and coordinate cross-functional conversation if any changes occur during the project execution
Lead project kick-off and regular meetings with subject matter experts, identifying project risks and developing the relevant mitigation plans to achieve project objectives
Guarantee the SCJ processes are followed and lead communication with relevant Stakeholders or Sponsors in case of escalations, process deviations or scope changes
Participate in, Identify and occasionally Lead improvement initiatives within project management tools and processes
Track project progress against deliverables & milestones, issue project status reports, and provide synthesized summaries to support communication to Stakeholders & Sponsors
Maintain Project Documentation (Data in Project Tracking tool, MS Project Timeline, Stage Gate documents & templates, Risk register, Close Out Report, etc.)
Ensure the processes within the region are followed (E2E process, Regional Project Approval, Stage Gate, Technical Reviews, etc.)
Be an RD&E representative for a specific category of products working with regional business partners while being a consulting expert with ICB RD&E category counterparts on the regional spécificatives to influence portfolio decisions, as well as timing and execution of regional projects and global rollo-uts
Within the category, develop expertise on specific product forms
Demonstrate behaviors that reflect SCJ Success Drivers and establish a “Mindset to Win” Culture by eliminating disablers and driving rapid decisions in a collaborative and teamwork environment
Build engaged and high performing project teams, able to challenge status quo and to propose agile and creative solutions
Requirements:
Degree in Science, Engineering or Supply Chain preferred, or a related science supported by experience that demonstrates fit with the role
At least 2 years of progressive RD&E/GSC experience in the FMCG industry
Influence of teams either within a project or through special assignments
Has shown a solution-driven and strategic approach to deliver on commitments, showing adaptability and ability to deal with ambiguity
Able to effectively communicate new ideas, technical stories and approaches to different audiences in a clear and structured way
