Job Description

As a Project Manager at Kiwi Newton Construction LLC, you’ll take the lead in driving complex commercial and institutional construction projects from planning to completion. You’ll oversee project contracts, schedules, budgets, and quality standards while coordinating with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure every build meets our high standards of excellence. Acting as the central link between the office and the job site, you’ll play a key role in delivering projects safely, on time, and within scope—helping shape innovative, sustainable spaces that define Kiwi Newton Construction LLC reputation for quality and precision.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan, organize, and oversee all phases of construction projects to ensure delivery on time, within scope, and on budget
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Monitor and manage subcontractor performance, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards
  • Review and interpret drawings, specifications, codes, and schedules to guide project execution
  • Conduct regular project meetings, maintain documentation, and provide progress updates to leadership
  • Negotiate and prepare contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, ensuring clarity of scope and terms
  • Track project costs, budgets, and forecasts using Procore and other project management software tools
  • Identify and manage changes in project scope through formal change orders and documentation
  • Oversee procurement and timely delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies to meet project schedules
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, permits, and safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate project records, reports, and correspondence throughout the project lifecycle
  • Collaborate with Site Superintendents to resolve on-site challenges and maintain efficient workflow
  • Implement and uphold Kiwi Newton Construction LLC quality and safety standards across all projects
  • Support and mentor project staff, ensuring performance expectations and company policies are met
  • Report regularly to senior leadership on project status, key risks, and opportunities for improvement

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience, including at least 2 years in commercial construction
  • Degree or technical training in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • Gold Seal Certification considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of construction disciplines including civil, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems
  • Proven ability to develop and manage contracts, project schedules, budgets, and critical paths effectively
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and building codes
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration abilities with teams, subcontractors, and clients
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Physically capable of performing site visits and working in varied indoor and outdoor conditions
