Project Manager - Operational Risk Management

• Manage large, multifaceted projects or multiple simultaneous projects
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential problems before they escalate
• Track and resolve execution risks which do materialize to ensure projects stay on track
• Take ownership of project goals, fostering a shared sense of purpose
• Apply best-practice PMO methodologies to develop comprehensive project plans
• Prepare, maintain, and submit clear, concise, and timely activity/progress reports
• Routinely track project participant progress against project goals
• Identify and adapt project approaches to align with the specific context and constraints
• Continuously improve individual and team skills through lessons-learned reviews
• Recognize emerging issues or potential problems and develop effective solutions
• Promote partner involvement by effectively communicating project status to senior management and clients
• Apply lessons learned from previous projects to enhance effectiveness
• Clearly communicate project milestones, status updates, and potential customer escalation issues
• Proactively follow established escalation and change control processes
• Own and maintain all management reports related to assigned engagements
• Foster positive working relationships across projects
• Stay abreast of current industry trends and emerging technologies

• 6-10 years of progressive project management experience
• Experience within a complex, global financial institution
• Proven experience in risk management
• Experience working on regulatory initiatives such as consent orders and MRAs
• PMP certification preferred
• Knowledge of industry-standard methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall
• Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines, and achieve project goals effectively
• Strong understanding of project metrics, including data gathering, reporting, trend analysis, and creation
• Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions, and select appropriate alternatives using root cause analysis
• Expertise in managing project scope by assessing requirements changes, determining the impact on budget, time, and risk
• Ability to manage client expectations, anticipate operational and tactical risks, track requirements and issues, remove barriers, and escalate issues as needed
• Proficient in MS Office applications, MS Project, VISIO, and Adobe Acrobat Professional
• Bachelor's/University degree required
