Job Description

Ariad supports one of its clients in a major upgrade of their core ERP system. The Project Manager will oversee the full project lifecycle, coordinating internal IT, business teams, and external partners to ensure a smooth transition and operational continuity. The Project Manager will lead the end-to-end ERP upgrade and ensure seamless coordination between application specialists, infrastructure teams, internal IT stakeholders, and business departments. The role is critical to securing operational continuity, data integrity, and production stability throughout the transformation.

Job Responsibility

  • Set up and run project governance: steering committees, reporting, risk and issue management
  • Develop and maintain the detailed project plan, RACI matrix, and dependency mapping (integrations, infrastructure, functional domains)
  • Coordinate the technical and functional activities with the ERP application partner
  • Oversee environment readiness with the infrastructure provider (setup, backups, restorations, operational constraints)
  • Manage the full inventory, validation, and testing of system interfaces and scheduled jobs
  • Define and run the complete test strategy (IT + business): planning, cycles, data sets, entry/exit criteria, defect management
  • Prepare data integrity and reconciliation checks before and after the upgrade
  • Prepare and execute the cutover plan: sequencing, Go/No-Go criteria, fallback/rollback
  • Lead the hypercare phase after go-live, ensuring monitoring, incident resolution, and system

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in IT/ERP project management
  • Proven track record delivering at least one major ERP upgrade (technical + functional)
  • Comfortable managing multiple vendors (application & infrastructure)
  • Ability to coordinate technical experts without needing deep ERP expertise
  • Strong project management: planning, dependencies, governance, risk management
  • Solid experience in testing frameworks, acceptance criteria, non-regression, and defect follow-up
  • Good understanding of integration concepts (interfaces, data flows, scheduling)
  • Technical awareness of environments, middleware, databases, and monitoring
  • Proficiency with Jira (or similar) and Microsoft 365 / Teams
  • Excellent communication and leadership across IT, business, and external partners
  • Rigorous, structured, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Able to manage pressure during critical phases (cutover, hypercare)
