Job Description

Manages entire construction projects, including planning, directing, coordinating, or budgeting activities relating to the construction for the Commercial Business Unit. This position will work at a Mission Critical/Data Center project and is eligible for a market premium addition to the base salary.

Job Responsibility

  • Manages entire construction projects, including planning, directing, coordinating, or budgeting activities
  • Responsible for meeting job requirements and controlling costs
  • Assesses the scope of work and resources required
  • Verifies project estimate for completeness
  • Supervises total construction efforts to ensure the project is constructed by design, budget, and schedule
  • Plans, coordinates, and supervises onsite functions
  • Provides technical assistance
  • Oversees and reviews extra work estimating and issuance of change orders
  • Assumes responsibility for safety, quality, and productivity
  • Administers financial tracking systems
  • Prepares complete plan of execution
  • Performs additional assignments per supervisor's direction
  • Strives to foster good work relations with customers and subcontractors
  • Assists staff in review and compliance of company policies and procedures
  • Has full responsibility and accountability for developing, implementing, and executing an effective Safety and Health Program

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma/GED
  • 10 years' experience in the construction industry required
  • Four-year degree in engineering or construction management preferred
  • 7-10 years experience in the construction industry preferred
  • Shows leadership, concise execution of plans, vision of project future, and effective communication of vision to subordinates
