Job Description:

Join Olsson's Bridge team as a Project Manager, making a significant impact on the success of our growth in Missouri as we continue to expand our footprint to St. Louis! Our Bridge group works on a wide range of projects including bridge and retaining walls, dams, storm and traffic structures, inspections, rehabilitations, load ratings, and assisting with construction engineering services. We facilitate designs on transportation projects that include grade separations, interchanges, and stream crossings for public and private clients throughout the Midwest.

Job Responsibility:

Lead efforts to expand our client base and grow our bridge group
Develops project scopes, schedules, and budgets and tracks progress
Manages complex contract negotiations
Leads the execution of project plans by assembling and managing project teams
Serves as primary liaison between all parties involved in a project
Monitors progress and measures project performance
Manages change requests, executes risk management techniques
Coordinates detailed reviews of technical work
Maintains an ongoing positive relationship with clients
Documents all project deliverables and maintains comprehensive records
Supervises and mentors staff within the team
Adheres to regulations and enforces safety standards

Requirements:

Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to contribute and work well on a team
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
Master’s degree, or in pursuit, a plus
8+ years of relevant engineering experience
Must be a registered Professional Engineer (PE)
Experience with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design preferred
Experience with bridge analysis and design programs (LARSA, LEAP Bridge Expertise, Lpile, SPColumn, or MDX) preferred
Expertise with MoDOT bridge projects preferred
Familiarity with MicroStation software preferred

Nice to have:

Master’s degree, or in pursuit
