Smart Offices & Smart Homes, Inc. designs and deploys advanced audio visual, automation, and technology solutions for commercial and residential environments. Our projects range from conference rooms, training spaces, and municipal facilities to high-end residential smart home systems. We specialize in audio/video integration, conferencing systems, lighting control, networking, security, HVAC integration, and automation platforms. We are seeking a full-time, on-site Project Manager in Mason, MI with prior experience in the AV integration industry or closely related low-voltage technology fields. This role is best suited for someone who already understands the pace, coordination, and technical workflow involved in AV deployments. The Project Manager will oversee projects from kickoff through completion, coordinating with clients, vendors, programmers, field technicians, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered successfully, on schedule, and to specification.
Job Responsibility
Manage multiple commercial AV and automation projects simultaneously
Coordinate project schedules, equipment procurement, labor, and logistics
Work directly with clients, contractors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle
Review scopes of work, drawings, and project documentation
Track project progress, budgets, change orders, and timelines
Coordinate installations, commissioning, and project closeout
Conduct site visits and quality inspections
Proactively resolve project issues, scheduling conflicts, and material delays
Ensure high levels of client communication and satisfaction
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of Project Management experience in the AV integration, low-voltage, structured cabling, electrical, IT infrastructure, or automation industry
Strong understanding of commercial AV systems and project workflows strongly preferred
Experience coordinating field technicians, vendors, and subcontractors
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple active projects in fast-paced environments
Experience with conferencing systems, networking, control systems, or automation platforms is a major plus
Familiarity with construction coordination and reading project documentation preferred
