The successful candidate will work within the Boeing Global Services Programme Management team, based in the UK. The Programme Management team manage the post-delivery modification of aircraft for our Customers. The projects we typically manage involve the integration of new equipment into the aircraft, such as seating, IFE equipment and monuments (galleys, lavatories and stowages). We frequently manage multiple stakeholders providing equipment and services to the Customer. Working together with the Engineering, Airworthiness and supply chain teams you will assist with managing the execution of the project within the schedule and budgetary constraints agreed. This is a junior role within the programme management team offering an opportunity to develop your skills within a world class organisation.
Job Responsibility:
Act as focal point for the company to worldwide airline customers
Assist Senior Programme Managers with delivery schedules, meeting quality standards, and financial controls from project award to final delivery
Identify and manage programme risks, issues and opportunities
Assist Senior Programme Managers to lead internal programme teams
Coordinate internal activities to ensure all tasks are progressing
Help coordinate and assist with major milestone meetings with the customer and compile resulting minutes and action plans
Portray the customers’ expectations and requirements to the Engineering team
Provide weekly status updates, milestone schedules and risk analysis summaries
Communicate programme status, on-going financial viability and identification of key issues to senior management
Manage customer change requests and support proposals for schedule and cost related impact
Initiate invoicing of project payments and follow-up on payment as required
Requirements:
A minimum BS Degree in a STEM field and/or at least 3 years' experience in a related commercial/military aerospace business
Previous experience within the aerospace industry or relevant degree
Working knowledge of Programme Management processes
Proficient in all MS Office applications
Ability to travel, sometimes at short notice
Able to work independently with some oversight from senior team members
Current legal authorisation to work immediately in the UK
Nice to have:
Previous experience of aircraft modification / integration / engineering projects
Engineering or Programme Management experience background or a relevant aerospace or programme management degree
MS Project proficiency
