Apech Labs is a small business that supports the aerospace, military and energy industries through rapid prototyping and product development. Our core competencies include complex electromechanical systems, control systems, mechanisms, and power systems. Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the project and interface with customers and suppliers
  • Responsible for meeting program technical schedule and cost objectives
  • Manage the bill of material and procurement of piece parts
  • Lead an interdisciplinary team to successfully develop new products
  • Plan for all aspects of the program including design, tooling, assembly and test
  • Participate in resource planning and project performance evaluation
  • Participate in operations planning and maintenance
  • Assemble and test both deliverable hardware and test equipment
  • Machine and rework parts
  • Operate as a key element in a team of creative, independent individuals
  • Document work and create reports as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • United States Citizenship, or the legal ability to work in the U.S.

Nice to have:

  • 5 years' experience (or 3 years with an MS degree)
  • Program management training

  • Translating project planning and engineering into detailed planning and working methods, so that the project can be realized efficiently and effectively in accordance with the contractual agreements (safety, quality, planning and budget)
  • Liaise with all involved departments (project- and tender-support, operations, SHE-Q, fleet-management, procurement, cost control) to ensure that the right working methods have been selected and that manpower and equipment are available when needed
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans
  • Act as the key interface towards clients for all engineering related topics
  • Identify and report deviations from the contract and take appropriate measures when needed
  • Assist the Project Manager in issuing progress reports to the customer and provide input to the Project Manager for internal progress reports.
