Job Description

Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company is hiring a Project or Senior Project Geotechnical Engineer to join our new Austin, Texas office. The successful candidate will manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, working closely with clients and internal teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects
  • Interact directly with clients and manage project budgets
  • Coordinate and participate in field activities, including: Logging borings, test pits, trenches, and cores
  • Evaluating geologic and seismic hazards
  • Performing forensic evaluations of distressed structures and failed slopes
  • Perform engineering analyses, including: Foundation design and evaluation
  • Slope stability analysis
  • Settlement analysis
  • Prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and technical reports
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to staff engineers, geologists, and field technicians

Requirements

  • B.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in geotechnical consulting (Project-level)
  • Minimum 7+ years' experience (Senior Project-level)
  • Familiarity with local engineering practices and Austin-area projects preferred
  • Detail-oriented, team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice to have

M.S. in related field preferred
