Job Description:

Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company has an immediate opening for a Project Geotechnical Engineer in our Irvine office. The successful candidate will manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, including meeting and interacting with the client, and managing budgets. The Project Engineer will also coordinate and participate in field activities, including logging of borings, test pits, trenches and cores; evaluation of geologic and seismic hazards; forensic evaluation of distressed structures and failed slopes; perform liquefaction, slope stability, and settlement analyses; and prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and reports. Experience with construction and grading activities is strongly desired. Duties of the Project Engineer will also include providing technical support to staff-level engineers, geologists and field technicians.

Job Responsibility:

Requirements:

  • B.S./B.A. required (Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Engineering)
  • M.S. preferred
  • Licensed professional engineer
  • 4+ years experience in geotechnical consulting
  • Local experience and familiarity with local engineering practice
  • Team player
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
